It is possible for users to reset their own password by clicking on the forgot password link below the login box. Note, this only appears if enabled in OPAC maintenance in the library interface. Or if they are already logged in and want to change their password they can do so from the user profile page.

The user will need to enter their email or login name and submit the reCAPTCHA verification.

An email will then be sent to the suer containing a link. This link will ask them to then select a new password, after they set their new password they will be able to login using the newly set password. The email that is sent to the user can be configured via template maintenance

Password requirements can be set in system configuration maintenance.

From within the users profile the change password option does not send an email to the user, instead it is set directly within the user profile page.
