When you first access the system, you are a Guest user, which provides the ability to search the catalogue, but few other options.
To perform any administrative functions, you need to log in. Any user who wants to be able to save their own searches in the Search Portal, to see their account or to request material will also need to log in.
Depending on your particular installation, you may be automatically identified to the system (via Single Sign On) from your normal Windows login.
The login area is at the top right of the search screen:
To log in:
- Click on [login]
The login box opens:
- Enter your Username and password, then either press Enter or click on the Log In button.
If these are correct, your Username is then displayed at the top right hand corner of the screen:
The office and language may also change, if those of the user are different to the default.
If this is the first time you have ever logged in to the system, you will be forced to change your password.
If you would prefer this not to be the case, please ask Soutron to change this for you.
If you have forgotten your password:
- Click Forgot your password? on the login form.
The following form displays:
- Enter your Username and click Submit.
