Once you have created the catalogue record for the main work, make sure you are on the full record display for that record:

To create a Part record:

  1. Click New Part in the Parts menu (highlighted in the screen shot above).
  2. You are then presented with the Content and Record Type selection screen, with only the Record Types displayed that have been defined as Part Record Types:

  3. Select the appropriate Record Type and then click Create.
  4. Catalogue the Part record just as you would any other record.
  5. When you have finished, click Save & Close in the Actions menu, and you will be returned to the full record.

Continue adding as many Parts record as are needed.
